From truly humble beginnings, our story starts in a small kitchen where a young chef spent countless hours learning the craft he would one day become known for. With a deep love for authentic Indian and Nepalese cooking, he honed his skills dish by dish, mastering spices, techniques, and the art of creating food that brings people together. What began as a passion soon grew into a dream—to share these flavours with a wider community.
That dream came to life with the opening of our first Yak & Yeti restaurant in Beeston. Built on hard work, dedication, and heart, the restaurant quickly became a cherished local favourite, known not only for its food, but for its warmth, hospitality, and the personal care behind every meal. Each satisfied guest and every returning customer became part of our story, inspiring us to keep growing.
Today, with pride and gratitude, we take the next step in that journey by opening our second restaurant here in Belper. This new chapter represents more than expansion—it reflects years of passion, perseverance, and the belief that great food can create lasting memories. At Yak & Yeti Belper, we continue the traditions, values, and flavours that started it all, bringing our heritage and heart to a brand-new community.
